We all inhabit 2 very distinct, yet interlinked worlds.
First is our shared Experiential world, where we walk around
every day, interact with specific individuals, eat, sleep, and work
within many limitations, sometimes called the 'Real' world.
Second is each Individual's personally constructed model,
or map of that common, shared world.
We construct our personal conceptual worlds, or maps, based on our values,
priorities, expectations, and projections.
Driven by our personal curiosity and perceived needs we only capture
those parts of our experiences that we are interested in, deleting the
rest. Also due to imperfect senses, past memories, beliefs, current expectations,
and projections, our private world or 'conceptual map' may be rather inaccurate.
Here's a simple illustration from an airport near me:

Private Maps or Views (Conceptual Abstractions)

As our private maps get closer to the shared reality, our lives become more manageable.
